Time Proven Design
The GPM PUMPS Pulverizer utilizes dual shafts with hardened cutters for maximum elimination of large or hard solids that could adversely affect the performance, service life and efficiency of your pumps and other wastewater process equipment. Durable cast iron housings with easy access inspection ports offer longer life and user friendly convenience. The compact design and footprint enables the easy replacement of other commercially available grinders.

Durable Construction
Each Pulverizer is constructed from materials selected for the optimal combination of strength, corrosion resistance
and extended life. Shafting is machined from two-inch hex bar, A.I.S.I. 4140 heat-treated alloy steel as a standard.
Cutters are precision investment cast of 4130 alloy steel to provide consistent high quality components. The hardened cutters feature a Patented design that provides additional cutting surfaces on the mating faces of the cutters to provide an improved cutting and shearing action. The Pulverizer grinders feature a unique bearing / seal
arrangement that provides both long lasting and economical bearing protection and machine life.

Double Sealed

The bearings are special double sealed, oversized Conrad type bearings that feature a unique heavy duty solid lube
pack which makes the bearing impervious to water and grit. This bearing is also protected by our special double seal
system. This exclusive double seal consists of:

  • Outer seals are stainless steel vs. fluorocarbon intermeshed labyrinth fingers that create a tortuous path preventing the intrusion of small particles of solids or grit.
  • Inner seals are high-pressure lip seals designed to prevent water leakage and bearing contamination. A grease barrier between these two seals enhances bearing protection even further.

This effective sealing system is rated up to 90 PSI by the manufacturer and provides impressive, simple and
economical service life.
