Sole US Authorized Master Distributor of High Performance Verderflex Peristaltic Process Pumps and SSP/Alfa Laval Rotary Lobe Pumps

GPM Pumps is now VerderGPM

VerderGPM has been formed from the heritage of two established companies, GPM Pumps, of Macon, Georgia, USA  and the Verder Group of the Netherlands. The mission of the new company is to specifically serve the requirements of fluid handling customers and their specific applications throughout the Americas with world class pumps.

Verder Group, now in its 51st year, is both a diversified manufacturer of fluid handling, laboratory and process equipment as well as a global distributor of process equipment for a range of the world’s finest specialized manufacturers.

GPM Industries of Macon Georgia, and its subsidiaries have been servicing the requirements of customers in Georgia for over 20 years. GPM Pumps, a division of GPM Industries, has been the master distributor for the Verderflex peristaltic pump and Alfa Laval tri lobe pump since the year 2000.

As a new company, co owned by the Verder Group and GPM Industries, VerderGPM will also introduce a third key product . The Verderair range of world class air operated double diaphragm pumps will see their introduction in beginning of 2010 in the USA.

Verderflex Pumps Used For Metering Of Sodium Hypochlorite - Featured Application

There are two installations for this application which each have 9 pumps each. These pumps precisely meter sodium hypochlorite from a bank of sodium hypochlorite generators to disinfect the final plant water effluent before being pumped into the city's fresh water supply. This kills existing pathogens and keeps new pathogens from forming. The advantages of the peristaltic hosepumps are:

  • Precisely meter liquids with accurate repeatability
  • Will not vapor lock on the inlet of the pump when the sodium hypochlorite "gasses-off"
  • Do not require a backpressure valve or anti-siphoning valve that typical metering pumps require
  • Do not have any shaft seals to leak
  • Have the ability to run dry without damage
  • They can achieve a flow rate turndown of 40:1
  • Simple maintenance
